More Creating!:)

I have been busy creating again with some of the new products that have come into Two Scrapbook Friends. The first layout that I created I worked with Love You More-Girl by Pebbles Inc. This line is perfect for little girls! The colours are so perfect!!! This is the layout I created with the line.

I used by Silhouette to cut out these adorable bumble bees to add to my layout and then added some stitching behind them in yellow.

I used my Silhouette to cut out my title as well. I used two fonts and played around with the sizes a little bit.

I created an accordion folded border along the bottom of my photo to create some dimension.

The next two layouts I created I used Bow Ties & Knee Highs by Basic Grey. I love how Basic Grey has changed up the patterns on their papers as well as the colour choices. I found that this line of paper was really fun to work with.

I used the Mister Huey's Burst Stencil to create the rays that I have coming out of the photo.

I used my Silhouette to create my title and added it in between one of the rays.

I used some of the chipboard accents to embellish my layout.

Aren't they so cute? I just love the colours of this line.

To finish off I stitched around all of the rays with a contrasting colour to make them stand out more and then added a couple of these buttons that match with the line.

The second layout I created is made with the boy papers from this line. I loved the colour combination and the pattern choices they made for this line as well. It would work for any age and look fabulous all together.

Like always I used my Silhouette to create my title and outlined it in black to have it stand out more.

I used matching buttons to add on top of my banner pieces.

I used my Silhouette to cut out a bunch of hexagon pieces to create the base of my background.

Last but not least I added some die cut stars and some stitching on some of the hexagons to add some different textures and dimension.

I Have Been Crafting!

Well I have been doing some serious scrapbooking the past little while. I have been working with a bunch of  the new products that are coming into Two Scrapbook Friends. For this reveal I have used Love You More-Boy by Pebbles Inc. I love the colours of the paper and embellishments that they came out with this time around.

This is the first layout that I created with the product. I love how bright the colours are in the line of paper. They would work with any age of boys. I don't really scrapbook my brothers but my friends baby worked perfect with the papers.

I cut out some pendent pieces and layered them on top of each other and added some stitching along the top.

I cut out some stars on my Silhouette and then pierced holes around them and then added some stitching to create a different look.

I also used my Silhouette to cut out my title "Little Charmer". I thought it worked perfect with the photo.

To finish off the layout I added a border and stitched underneath to create some texture.

My second layout was also of this adorable little boy.

I used my Silhouette to cut out a bunch of stars to embellish my layout in green and blue and popped a couple up to create dimension.

I used my Silhouette to cut out my title. I used two different fonts and played a little bit with the sizes so it was different.

I absolutely loved working with this line. It was so fun to create some layouts with boy paper instead of flowers and pinks.

Thanks for stopping by!!:)

5 Products 5 Designers

Its time for another reveal for the 5 products 5 designers challenge. This time the design team was given some products from Echo Parks Photo Freedom's line Happy Little Moments. Below is a photo of some of the products that we were given.

For those of you who don't know how the 5 products 5 designers challenge works stop by Two Scrapbook Friends to check out the details. This line from Echo Park was different then some of their other releases. The colours were so much softer than any of the other lines I have seen from them. It was a nice challenge.

This is the layout I created based on the challenge and the products I was given. I have to admit, I had some troubles while working with this line because it is so different then most of the paper choices I usually use. I did add in some paper from the Echo Park Photo Freedom line Today's Story so help me out a little bit.

I absolutely love these little kraft heart stickers that we were given to use somewhere on our layout.

Like always, I had to add some stitching to create some different techniques.

These brads were another thing that we had to use somewhere on our layout. I don't usually use brads but I really liked these ones.

One of the papers that we had to use had a bunch of titles and die cuts on it and I wanted to use it in a creative way so I cut out one of the titles and attached it to my tag for my journaling. I thought it turned out really well. I had never tried anything like this before so it was fun to do.

This is what my journaling tag looked like before it is tucked behind my photo.

My favourite element of my layout is my journaling. I used my Silhouette to journal with the sketch pens.  I hate my handwriting so it worked out really well in the end.

Make sure you stop by Two Scrapbook Friends to see what the other design team members created with the same products. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Fun!!

My layout has been picked for a class at Two Scrapbook Friends this Friday from 1-3. I created this adorable layout with paper from BoBunny's Surprise paper line. I love how bright and fun the paper is and it works really well for any age group.

I used my Silhouette to cut out my title as well as the hippo and his balloons.

I hand stitched the tails on the balloons with matching floss.

And I stitched with a contrasting colour along my border strip.

If your interesting in the layout stop by Two Scrapbook Friends between 1 and 3 on Friday.

Crafty Challenge - Stitch A Shape

Its my turn for another Crafty Challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum. This week my challenge for you guys is to create a project were you stitch a shape on it somewhere. I absolutely LOVE stitching. I stitch on everything that I create. Sometimes its just a small amounts and other times its all over the place.

I did a couple different techniques for this layout. In the photo above you will see an accordion folded bolder. I love this technique because it adds some dimension to the layout once it is finished. One other thing I did on this layout that I don't usually do is I used water paint to create splats on my background. I thought this was very appropriate for the layout because Matt is dirt biking and it symbolizes dirt/mud.

Now onto my favourite part of my layout..the stitching. I cut out a couple different sizes of stars on my Silhouette and then pierced around them to create my stitching template.

I also created a couple banner pieces to go along the top of my layout to balance it out a little bit.

I really look forward to seeing what you guys create based on my challenge. Make sure once you have created your project to upload it to the  forum and the layout gallery.

Photo 365 - Day 56

Most of you who read my blog probably already know I am doing photo 365. For people who don't know what that is I will fill you in. Photo 365 is documenting your life with a photo a day for a year. This photo can be anything you want just as long as you take a photo a day. Today my photo has a little bit of a description to it so I thought I would do a blog post about it because its kind of special.

Since I moved to Elora with Matt we have been on a few walks through the trail but with him being away with work we don't get to do it too often. Today we went out for a long walk because it was so mild. It was beautiful. As we were walking we passed this marker on the tree. The first thing that popped into my mind was my Grandpa. My Grandpa absolutely loved hiking. When we would go on hikes we would always learn about the markers on the trees and what they meant. My Gpa took us for hikes in Elora sometimes so it was nice to go back to revisit the memories. I miss you Gpa! Elora is just as beautiful as before.

Matt and I ventured all over the trails. They weren't very busy so it was kind of nice to have the time to ourselves. As we walked down this hill that is above it went down towards a slow part of the water and it was beautiful!

Down at the bottom of the hill was this huge rock that was hollowed out underneath that ad a bunch of ice on it. Of course we had to venture all over it. This is a photo of me sitting on the ice.. well my feet

And this photo is of the entire view of the ice on the rock! It was crazy! I regret sitting on it now because for the rest of the walk my butt was all wet. But it was so much fun!

This photo is if you were sitting on the ice on the rock and looked out onto the water. There were two geese and two little ducks there the entire time just floating around. It was so peaceful down there.

As we continued on the trail as climbed up higher and got further away from the water. We would come to parts that you would be able to look through the trees and see the water and you would see things like this. All these ice waterfalls. It was really cool to see.

Some parts were very snow covered and you wouldn't even know water was there and other parts the water was flowing like crazy.

This was the last picture of our walk. I got Matt to take it of me so that I would be able to scrapbook this trip. I have a photo of Matt but he wouldn't let me put it up on my blog. I am still working on him with the photo thing.  He hates pictures.

Overall my favourite part of the walk today would be the marker on the tree and who it reminded me of. There are things that happen all the time that remind me of my Gpa and today was nice to see that. I will have to scrapbook that moment for sure!:)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Design Team Reveal

I recently got to work with the Love Notes line for my design team kit over at Two Scrapbook Friends. I absolutely loved this line. It was defiantly geared towards love and valentines day but I changed it around a little bit.  This was the first layout I created.

I did alot of stitching on my layouts and used my Cameo alot to cut out any of the die-cuts or titles.

I created a banner along the top and used a scrabble tile font off my Cameo for my title.

This is the second layout I created of my grandparents on their 45th wedding anniversary.

I created an accordion folded border and then added some hearts on top of it.

I added a couple banner pieces with some buttons with some stitching down the side to create a place for my title to sit on.

I added some journaling on my page from the computer to explain the story of the day.

For my final project I created a card box with three cards inside. The cards and the box are 3x4. Looking at the photo you would never guess.

Here are my cards that I created. This one is my favourite.

I stitched a border for my banner on this card.

And I loved my little love bug on this card.

Thanks for looking!:)
