Be Yourself!

Life throws you around,it gives your scratches, cuts, burns, and bruises. But your strong enough to make it through it all. Your strong, a fighter, and your going to make it through everything. Everyone has crappy parts of their lives where things just really don't go there way. Having that feelings sucks! You feel hopeless and then everything else in your life feels like it's slowly falling apart all at the same time and you have no control over it. One thing I have learned over the past month or so is in order to be happy with someone else in your life you need to know what you want and understand your values and what is important to you.

I am someone who loves having someone around all the time. Ever since I was little I couldn't wait to hang out with the next friend and when I was alone at home I didn't even know what to do with myself. As I have gotten older I enjoy spending more and more time alone. It gives you a time to understand yourself and think about what you really want in your life. I was in a relationship with an amazing guy and unfortunately it didn't work out but instead of sitting around and sulking I am going to take it as a lesson to learn a few things about myself.

I used to beat myself up after I would get out of a relationship and question myself about how I messed up and what I could have done wrong and what I need to fix. The truth is sometimes people just don't fit well together. Its that simple.. it sucks but its the truth.

Anyone who is reading this and knows what i'm talking about. Hold your head high when your having a bad day. Don't sweat the small things. I have learned that lesson the hard way. Beating yourself up over every little thing just makes the big things seem even bigger than they need to be. If something doesn't go you way just learn to let it go. Something will work out eventually when it's meant to.

More Creations!

It's time for another reveal of some of the fun things I have been creating! I have been on a role creating layouts for my albums. I have no idea how I haven't ran out of ideas but I am loving the way my creations are turning out. For the two layouts I am revealing today I used Pebbles Inc.'s Pool line that they released. I love how fun and colourful the papers are and they worked awesome with photos I had of my cousin Payton.

Above is the first layout that I created using this line.

I added a couple journal sprouts from Jillibean and used a couple of my little alpha sticker to do my journaling.

I used American Crafts brads that went really well with the line and created some banner pennants to put on the side of my layout.

Like always I added some stitching to give my page more texture as well as dimension. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my title for this layout as well as the large heart for my background.

Below is the second layout that I created:

The colours of this line worked awesome with my cousins bathing suit and made the picture stand out alot!

I cut a circle out on my Cameo and then stitched the rays of the sun around it. I love how my sun turned out!

I added some stitching to the wave paper I incorporated to add some texture and dimension. I also used my Cameo to cut out my title for this layout.

To finish off the layout I added a couple of the diecuts that came with the line and then added a few I had hanging around in my stash!

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Challenge - Make It Sparkle

For this weeks Crafty Challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum I am challenging you guys to make your projects sparkle. I don't usually use glitter on my projects but sometimes a layout could use some here and there. So for this challenge you can use glitter, stickles, glitter letters, glitter buttons, etc. As long as you have some sparkle then you got it.

This is the layout I created based on the sparkle challenge.

I used my Silhouette to cut out some snowflakes for my layout. Then I used spray adhesive and then covered them in glitter. It worked out perfect.

I also used my Silhouette to cut out this adorable snowman from Echo Park. Isn't he cute?  I also added some stitching in between my squares:)

To finish it off I added a couple cute little sayings from one of the papers I had laying around and that finished the layout.

Make sure you stop by the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum to check out the challenge a little more. If you participate make sure you upload your layout to the Two Scrapbook Friends Gallery.

Thanks for stopping by!!:)

Sketch Number 8

Its my turn for another Sketchy Challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum. Below is the sketch that I created for you guys this week.

And this is the layout that I created based off of my sketch. I used the Simply Spring line from We R Memory Keepers. The colours in this line of paper were so unique and I loved the way that they looked with a black and white photo.

I used my Silhouette to cut out my title as well as my butterflies for the layout.

I did some journaling on the computer and then cut it out into strips and layered them on my page.

I did alot of stitching with a contrasting colour to make the strips stand out a little more as well as add some texture.

I had alot of fun this week working with this sketch and I'm really happy with the layout I created. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. If you participate in the challenge make sure to upload your projects to the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum as well as the Two Scrapbook Friends Gallery.

More Creating!:)

I have been busy creating again with some of the new products that have come into Two Scrapbook Friends. The first layout that I created I worked with Love You More-Girl by Pebbles Inc. This line is perfect for little girls! The colours are so perfect!!! This is the layout I created with the line.

I used by Silhouette to cut out these adorable bumble bees to add to my layout and then added some stitching behind them in yellow.

I used my Silhouette to cut out my title as well. I used two fonts and played around with the sizes a little bit.

I created an accordion folded border along the bottom of my photo to create some dimension.

The next two layouts I created I used Bow Ties & Knee Highs by Basic Grey. I love how Basic Grey has changed up the patterns on their papers as well as the colour choices. I found that this line of paper was really fun to work with.

I used the Mister Huey's Burst Stencil to create the rays that I have coming out of the photo.

I used my Silhouette to create my title and added it in between one of the rays.

I used some of the chipboard accents to embellish my layout.

Aren't they so cute? I just love the colours of this line.

To finish off I stitched around all of the rays with a contrasting colour to make them stand out more and then added a couple of these buttons that match with the line.

The second layout I created is made with the boy papers from this line. I loved the colour combination and the pattern choices they made for this line as well. It would work for any age and look fabulous all together.

Like always I used my Silhouette to create my title and outlined it in black to have it stand out more.

I used matching buttons to add on top of my banner pieces.

I used my Silhouette to cut out a bunch of hexagon pieces to create the base of my background.

Last but not least I added some die cut stars and some stitching on some of the hexagons to add some different textures and dimension.

I Have Been Crafting!

Well I have been doing some serious scrapbooking the past little while. I have been working with a bunch of  the new products that are coming into Two Scrapbook Friends. For this reveal I have used Love You More-Boy by Pebbles Inc. I love the colours of the paper and embellishments that they came out with this time around.

This is the first layout that I created with the product. I love how bright the colours are in the line of paper. They would work with any age of boys. I don't really scrapbook my brothers but my friends baby worked perfect with the papers.

I cut out some pendent pieces and layered them on top of each other and added some stitching along the top.

I cut out some stars on my Silhouette and then pierced holes around them and then added some stitching to create a different look.

I also used my Silhouette to cut out my title "Little Charmer". I thought it worked perfect with the photo.

To finish off the layout I added a border and stitched underneath to create some texture.

My second layout was also of this adorable little boy.

I used my Silhouette to cut out a bunch of stars to embellish my layout in green and blue and popped a couple up to create dimension.

I used my Silhouette to cut out my title. I used two different fonts and played a little bit with the sizes so it was different.

I absolutely loved working with this line. It was so fun to create some layouts with boy paper instead of flowers and pinks.

Thanks for stopping by!!:)

5 Products 5 Designers

Its time for another reveal for the 5 products 5 designers challenge. This time the design team was given some products from Echo Parks Photo Freedom's line Happy Little Moments. Below is a photo of some of the products that we were given.

For those of you who don't know how the 5 products 5 designers challenge works stop by Two Scrapbook Friends to check out the details. This line from Echo Park was different then some of their other releases. The colours were so much softer than any of the other lines I have seen from them. It was a nice challenge.

This is the layout I created based on the challenge and the products I was given. I have to admit, I had some troubles while working with this line because it is so different then most of the paper choices I usually use. I did add in some paper from the Echo Park Photo Freedom line Today's Story so help me out a little bit.

I absolutely love these little kraft heart stickers that we were given to use somewhere on our layout.

Like always, I had to add some stitching to create some different techniques.

These brads were another thing that we had to use somewhere on our layout. I don't usually use brads but I really liked these ones.

One of the papers that we had to use had a bunch of titles and die cuts on it and I wanted to use it in a creative way so I cut out one of the titles and attached it to my tag for my journaling. I thought it turned out really well. I had never tried anything like this before so it was fun to do.

This is what my journaling tag looked like before it is tucked behind my photo.

My favourite element of my layout is my journaling. I used my Silhouette to journal with the sketch pens.  I hate my handwriting so it worked out really well in the end.

Make sure you stop by Two Scrapbook Friends to see what the other design team members created with the same products. Thanks for stopping by!
